This policy explains how Fadecon Africa Limited (“FADECON”, “we”) handles personal data collected through fadeconafrica.com and at FADECON events. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect
Only what you send through our forms: name, email, phone, city, shop or business name, Instagram handle, years of experience, and for competitors one photo of your work. Press, partner, speaker and owner forms collect the details shown on each form. We do not buy data or use advertising trackers.
Why we use it
To register you as a delegate, assess competition entries and speaker proposals, run volunteer shifts, accredit press, answer partnership requests, and send event information you asked for. The legal basis is your consent (the box you tick on each form) and our legitimate interest in running the conference.
Photos of your work
Competition photos are used to judge entries. We only publish a photo, with credit, if you are selected and you agree.
Who we share it with
Our hosting provider (Hostinger) and email provider, who process data for us under contract. Nobody else, unless the law requires it. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
Form entries are kept for up to 24 months after the event you registered for, then deleted. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, deletion, or to withdraw consent. Write to [email protected]. We reply within 30 days. As FADECON travels, we also follow the data-protection law of each host country.
